Classic Car Cruise-in at Bug Light Park

The City of South Portland's Parks, Recreation & Waterfront Department had their Annual Fall Bug Light Park Classic Car Show last week on Thursday, September 12th. Many visitors head to Bug Light Park every fall and spring for this car show to enjoy the cars, trucks, and motorcycles alongside the breathtaking view of the Portland Harbor. Fortunately, if you missed the fall show they have one in the spring time as well!

The Car Show

There was music, food trucks, 50/50 & door prize raffles for all car owners. With no entry fee or registration necessary, the show was accessible for all vehicle owners alike. Spectators can enjoy walking around looking at the classics while soaking in the beautiful scenery.

The Lighthouse

The Portland Breakwater Lighthouse AKA Bug Light, named for its small size, was built to mark the rocky breakwater of Portland and stands only 26-feet tall. We were delighted to see that it was open for viewing, a rare opportunity.
